Lets Go For A Walk. I think you would agree with me that every kid loves to be outside. And when their outside they love it, and it makes them in a better mood for the rest of the day. If that's not true for you I'm sorry, because my kids LOVE to play outside. It makes the rest of the day a hole lot better to. We have this really cool walking trail behind our house its 2miles round trip. Their are sticks, water, hills, animals, tree climbing, and even dead mice. What more could a kid ask for.
This is a great climbing tree.

Devon has taken to the trees!

The Girls, I can't wait to hear them starting talking to one another.

What A Blessing This Little Boy Is.

The Job of a mommy can some times seem so donating to me. Trying to teach your children to have integrity, to take responsible for their actions, to be kind, gentle, their ABC. Their is so much. Not to mention to grow their understanding of Jesus Christ. WOW, what a BIG job. It almost bring tears to my eyes. Cameron is a boy with many question and I often find my self saying, "Cam, that's a great question some day when we go to be with God you sould ask Him that one." Its all I can say. Cam reminds me that he would like to go and live with God first, before me, so he can help Him design me house for me. Not on my life:) We have been learning that Jesus can do anything. "Yes Cam, He can even pick up our house if He wanted to." This months veruse is "With God, all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26.) Cameron has had a really bad cold and a cough that makes him through up. Poor guy. The night is the worst I lay in bed and cringe when he starts coughing wishing I could take it for him. On our drive to pick up Devon from school the other day we were talking about Jesus walking on water (Mark 6:45-51) and how God can do anything. Cam says, "mom close your eyes I'm going to pray. God please take my cold away because you can do anything you want. That way I can go over to Dylan's house and play. AMEN!" "Mom I'm all better. God fixed me." Oh thank you God for that moment as a reminder to me that I need to have faith like a child.

And were off, JB and I have to decided that we are going to try a new sport. Yes I'm laughing too, we decided that running would be fun. I have to say that we are having fun training together, and watching our bodies change. We did our first 5k on Jan 1, 2010 with the boys as you can see it was cold and wet, but boy did we have fun. We didn't train for are first run but it gave us a good idea of what to expect. We ran with the boys and they did amazing. They made me proud. They are the only 3 and 5 year old running the next age was 9year old. They both ran the first mile with out stopping, Devon and I were ahead and he kept saying come on mom they are beating us. I tried to explain that it was not a race it was based on time. He didn't get it and off he went. The second mile we walked, and ran but mostly ran. Cameron took a little brake and I carried him on my back and mile three I put him down and said good bye to the boys and went for it. I finished in 39.12 min and the boy in 46.7min it was so much fun. The next one is March 13Th its a 5mile run. Yes, we are training:)

Just a few of my favorite pictures

Oh, what a year 2009 has been. I'm happy that I had my family to go through it with me. What joy, and frustration my children bring me. The frustration comes form them teaching me things about myself that I'm not sure I really wanted to learn. And I really don't like to be stretched. It's not a bad thing, I need to be stretched. I've learn patients, gentleness, and not to have yelling be my first line of communication. Wow, looking at that makes me thankful for forgiveness. I sound like I'm rating my self out, just a little. I'm thankful that these three little children have taught me so much. The biggest one and the one I'm most thankful for is LOVE. My children love physical contact. Their is always a tackle football game, wrestling match, or karate match going on. If your not careful somehow you find your self right in the middle of it being taken down by two small boys (Devon is 5 and Cameron is 3). It makes me giggle every time. I can only imagine what are home will be like in 5 to 10 years. Here are a few pictures into the lives of the Downie Family. After all I've said I still can say that my children really love one another. So as far as 2010 goes we are going to be working on communication. Opening the lines up so are kids can express them self's to us with good old fashion talking.

This is Devon and Cameron enjoying or first snow of the year in Eagle Idaho.

This picture make me LAUGH so hard. JB and I let or kids dress and do their hair by them self. Their has only been a few occasion were they need help. This is one of those times. When you don't want to crush them he was so proud of is hair.

My little LC. She loves her mommy.

One morning I was working around the house only to find it to quite. With my camera in tow I set out to see what was up. I listen for a little while as they discussed what they should call their new hid out. And how in the middle of the night they should sneak out of their beds and sleep on the shelves with their sleeping bags. I'm glad to say it has yet to happen.

They screamed like girls when they realized I was taking their pictures in their hide out.

Wow, I can see him at the age of 21:(

Lauren love to play with Cameron. They loves cars and dress up. They also like to sit in my laundry basket together and talk.

When I won't let Lauren sit on my lap Devon is always her second choice. She smiles, looks at him, and then backs herself up to him ,and drops her little bottom onto him. He is a soft spot for her to fall.

Anything you can do I can do better.

It doesn't matter how cold it is out side the boys always want to wear shorts. If one is outside they are all out.
We have NO princess here. JB loves that.
